The 'Ayurveda' has treasure of knowledge to cure almost all disease . The base of securing the health for all lies in the farming and marketing of medicinal and aromatic plants.

According to world health organization estimates the current demands for medicinal and herbal plants are US $ 14 billions and by 2050 it will be US$ 5 trillion. India has tremendous potential in this sector.

The Indian export of medicinal and herbal plants was Rs. 446 Core (2000) this export will be Rs. 3000 crore by 2005 and by 2010 it is estimated to the Rs. 10000 crore.
